Syphon coffee is made using two chambers where vapour pressure and vacuum, moving hot water through the coffee grounds. Dating all the way back to the 1830s, this style of coffee maker is also known as a vacuum coffee maker and is well known for the clarity of its brew.

You may have seen syphon coffee makers (and wondered what they were) in obscure hipster coffee shops. These wonderful contraptions, reminiscent of something a mad scientist might be found playing with, are making a comeback and it's not surprising to us at all here at Barista Warehouse.
