The Portafilter Group Handle

The portafilter handle allows the brewer to hold the portafilter easily while making a cup of coffee with an espresso machine. The group handle is usually made from different material depending on the manufacturer and style chosen. You will find most of the high-end espresso machines have their portafilter handles made from hardwood but polished aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic models are also popular. Wooden portafilter handles do add an extra touch of class to the machine, but they require a little more care and maintenace than regular models.
